Living in the jungles on Sumatra and Borneo are the last of the Sumatran Rhinoceros. They remind me of John 1:3 – All things were made through him, and without him was not anything made that was made.
Let’s take a closer look at Sumatran Rhinos and how they show us God made them.
- · Sumatran Rhinoceros are the smallest rhinos on Earth.
- · They are the only Asian rhino with two horns.
- · Sumatran Rhinos are a hairy rhino – babies are covered with thick reddish-brown hair which thins, turns black, and gets shorter as they age.
- · Not surprising, they are related to extinct woolly rhinos.
- · These little rhinos are the most endangered rhino – there may be as few as 12, but no more than 80, currently living in the wild due to loss of habitat and poaching. They are now protected by guards.
- · Sumatran Rhinos moms are pregnant for about 16 months and give birth to one calf which they raise for three years.
- · Sumatran Rhinos push through jungles leaving tunnels behind them.
- · Sumatran Rhinos are so rare, very few people have ever been able to see one in the wild.

Think About This . . .
“An honest man, armed with all knowledge available to us now, could only state that in some sense, the origin of life appears at the moment to be almost a miracle, so many are the conditions which would have had to have been satisfied to get it going.” — Francis Crick – Nobel Price for co-discovery of DNA
